ga/sm Architects is founded by Allison Gonsalves and Marcin Sztaba in Toronto, originally naming ourselves studioDOM Architects.
We changed our name to represent ourselves and the equality we strive for within our office to create conscious structures.
“gasm” is an acronym of our names (g)onsalves (a)llison (s)ztaba (m)arcin, and it also defines the possibility of great experiences. We appreciate that a community does not get built by one person, but with the overlapping of many people and disciplines. With this thought, we aim to create a pulse to our community through our advocacy and sustainable efforts in hopes of creating architecture that is more than just a building, rather a GREAT EXPERIENCE.
